Before We Begin

If I could pull you from that frame, and be the spark that ignites your flame... You're falling apart. I'm in denial. I miss your smile. won't you come running? It's a beautiful life - no single spies and no warnings. Bridle up your heart. Not such a beautiful lie: the sun will rise with the morning. The sun will rise again. --- If I could raise you from your bed and take back all the ugly things I said, I would pull you from the ledge before you start slipping. Is it too late? It's a beautiful life - no single spies and no warnings. Bridle up your heart. Not such a beautiful lie: the sun will rise with the morning. The sun will rise again. But cuts and knives in a mirror that lies when all the tears you've shed have gone and dried. Set your funeral robes aside for the night and her spies on battalions. Won't you fight this? It's a beautiful life - no single spies and no warnings. Bridle up your heart. Not such a beautiful lie: the sun will rise with the morning. Your sun will rise again. Your sun will rise again. Your sun will rise again.

Well, you get so old you think you've seen it all. Take a look in the mirror. You might just fall on backwards. Meanwhile, the belly of the universe is staring at me: fat as a pig on a sticker factory. I fall backwards. I fall backwards. I fall backwards. I fall backwards. I fall backwards. I fall backwards.

about

A handful of songs that I didn't have other plans for but wanted to share with the world.

I wrote Smiles, Denials with my dad's help. It was one of the first songs I ever wrote.

The Garden was inspired by the tune Turn Red by Latlaus Sky. Brett Larson himself stepped in to help me get this recorded.

What Never Was is the result of a collaboration that never was, hence the name.

I wrote and recorded I Fall Backwards on the fly. I'd spent a great deal of time trying to record something else entirely. It wasn't happening. After a couple hours of frustrated failure, I noodled this out of nothing in about ten minutes and quite liked it.
